This is the introduction to the Notification Creator module. This module is designed for sending notifications directly to the Alive app. It allows you to reach your audience – using defined criteria and customization options for your notifications.
This module supports sending both push and in-app notifications, giving you flexibility in how you communicate with your audience. Each type of notification can be customized to suit your specific needs. You can also schedule the delivery of notifications for a specific time or define various actions that can be triggered through the notification based on your requirements.

1.Welcome to the Notification Creator Overview

  • Edit (Pencil Icon): Allows you to edit the notification. However, scheduled notifications cannot be edited directly. To make changes, you need to cancel the scheduled sending, which will convert the notification into a draft, allowing you to edit it.

  • Copy (Clipboard Icon): Creates a duplicate of the selected notification.

  • Delete (Trash Icon): Deletes the notification permanently.

  1. Heading (Mandatory):

    • Add a short and clear title for your notification (max 50 characters).

    • This field is required in all languages avaiable for your market.

  2. Body (Mandatory):

    • Provide additional details for your notification (max 70 characters).

    • Keep it concise to ensure the text is not cut off on smaller devicesBbody is optional for push notifications but mandatory for in-app notifications.

  3. Image (Optional):

    • Upload an image in JPEG or PNG format to complement your notification.

    • Guidelines for the image:

      • Landscape format with a 2:1 ratio (e.g., 1000x500px).

      • Minimum width of 400px and height of 200px.

      • File size should not exceed 1MB.

      • Avoid images wider than 2000 pixels.

  4. Action (Mandatory)::

    • Define what happens when the user interacts with the notification

    • Redirects the user to an external webpage (e.g., a promotional offer or informational page).

    • Useful for directing users outside the app.

  2. Open discount provider:

    • Opens the profile of a specific discount provider within the app.

    • Search for the provider using either their ID or name.

  3. Open discount:

    • Displays a specific discount or offer within the app.

    • Search for the provider using either their ID.

  4. Open limited offer:

    • Highlights a time-sensitive or exclusive offer.

    • Search for the provider using either their ID.

  5. Open competition list:

    • Takes the user to a list of competitions available in the app.

    • Search for the provider using either their ID.

  6. Open competition:

    • Directly opens a specific competition.

    • Search for the provider using either their ID.

  7. Open dashboard:

    • Navigates the user to the main dashboard within the app.

  8. None:

    • No action is triggered when the notification is tapped.

4.2 Customizing In-App Notifications

  • Review the Notification Details:

    • General Settings:

      • Notification Name: Verify the name you gave the notification.

      • Communication Channels: Ensure the correct channels (Push or In-App) are selected.

    • Audience:

      • Check the communication type (e.g., Service or Marketing).

      • Review the conditions applied (e.g., Card Type, Card Status, Expiration Date).

      • Confirm the audience size for Push and In-App notifications.

    • Content:

      • Double-check the heading, body, and any images you’ve included.

      • Ensure the content is correct for all required languages.

  • Set the Schedule:

    • Choose when the notification will be sent:

      • Send Immediately: The notification will be sent as soon as it is published.

      • Schedule for Later: Select a specific date and time for the notification to be sent.

  • Test Your Notification (Optional):

    • Use the Test button to preview the notification on a device. This helps ensure that everything looks and functions as expected before sending it out to your audience.

    • To test, you must have an active profile on the respective environment (test or production) and provide the email address of the profile to which you want to send the test notification. If you wish to send the test to multiple profiles, you need to send it individually for each one.

  • Send the Notification:

    • Once you’re satisfied with the details and schedule, click the Send button to publish the notification.
