This is the introduction to the Notification Creator module. This module is designed for sending notifications directly to the Alive app. It allows you to reach your audience – using defined criteria and customization options for your notifications.
This module supports sending both push and in-app notifications, giving you flexibility in how you communicate with your audience. Each type of notification can be customized to suit your specific needs. You can also schedule the delivery of notifications for a specific time or define various actions that can be triggered through the notification based on your requirements.

1.Welcome to the Notification Creator Overview

This page is your go-to dashboard for managing notifications. Here’s a simple guide to help you navigate and make the most out of it.

2.Notification settings

In this step, you’ll set the basic details and type of your notification.

2.1Notification Name

  • This is the title of your notification, visible only to you for organizational purposes.

  • Keep it clear and descriptive (e.g., “New Product Alert” or “Exclusive Offer”).

2.2Communication Channel

  • In this step, you will choose whether to send a **Push Notification**, an **In-App Notification**, or a combination of both. This flexibility allows you to tailor your message delivery to suit your audience's preferences and engagement levels.

    • Push Notification:

      • A short message that pops up on the user’s phone, even if the app is closed.

      • Great for grabbing attention quickly, but remember, if a user has disabled push notifications for the Alive app, they won’t receive it. This setting is controlled by the user, and we can’t override it.

    • In-App Notification:

      • A message that appears while the user is actively using the Alive app.

      • Perfect for engaging users already in the app, like promoting features or sharing updates.

3.Audience

In this step, you define who will receive your notification. This is crucial to ensure your message reaches the right audience. Here’s how to navigate this page:

  1. Choose Your Audience:

    • Create a New Audience:

      • Build a custom group based on specific conditions (e.g., card type, expiration date, etc.).

    • Use a Segment from Marketing Manager:

      • If pre-defined segments are available, you can select one here. If you want to use a segment from the Marketing Manager, you need to set it up in the Marketing Manager, load it, then enter its ID and click "Use this segment."

image-20250120-141202.png

  1. Select Communication Type:

    • Service Communication:

      • Essential messages related to providing a service (e.g., account updates, card expiration reminders).

      • No marketing consent required.

    • Marketing Communication:

      • Commercial messages promoting offers, updates, or features.

      • Requires user consent and may have restrictions based on age or other legal requirements.

  2. Set Conditions for the Audience (if creating a new one):

    • Define who should receive the notification by adding conditions.

      • Examples of conditions:

        • Card Type: Filter by specific card types (e.g., Student, Premium).

        • Card Status: Select active, expired, or blocked cards.

        • Card Expiration: Specify a date range to target users whose cards are about to expire.

    • Combine multiple conditions using logical operators like AND.

  1. Audience Count:

    • Once you’ve applied conditions, you’ll see the number of recipients for each channel:

      • In-app notification: Number of users who will receive the message within the app.

      • Push notification: Number of users eligible to receive the message as a push notification (based on their settings).

Key Tips:

  • Refining Your Audience:
Use conditions to focus your message on the most relevant users. For example, sending reminders to users with cards expiring soon.

  • Audience Insights:
Check the audience count at the bottom to ensure the notification reaches the desired number of people. Adjust your conditions if needed.

  • Legal Compliance:
Ensure you choose the correct communication type (Service or Marketing) based on the nature of your notification.

Next Steps:

Once your audience is defined, click “Save and go to content” to start crafting the actual message for your notification.
