Promo codes
If you want to start using promo codes for your discount providers within the Alive App, in this course, we will show you how to create and manage promo codes. First and foremost, setting up on the discount provider's side is necessary. In case you want to add new promo codes into Discount Manager, please go to the detail of your desired discount and mark the checkbox “Use promo codes”
You can select whether the promo codes will be generic (the same for all customers) all unique (each customer has different).
As a next step, when the checkbox is selected, you will see “Edit promo codes” button in the detail of the discount:
After you click the button, you can add promo codes, set their validity etc.
When everything is correctly set up, the user goes to the Alive app and displays a discount with promo codes, a “Generate code” button appears and when user clicks it, the code is displayed:
and also automatically emailed to the user mailbox:
So, basically, the whole flow is as follows:
you need to set up a provider and discount in Discount Manager. The provider of course needs to be publicly available, so the discounts can be seen within the Alive App
for the discount, you need to allow promo codes (see the screens above)
when the promo codes are allowed, they must be set up (see the screens above)
when everything is set up correctly, then when a customer displays the discount within the Alive App, he will see the button for voucher code generation. After clicking the button, the code is generated and also emailed.
here, from the Alive Platform perspective, the process ends. The promo codes are not exported into Benefit Manager or anywhere else.
