  • you need to set up a provider and discount in Discount Manager. The provider of course needs to be publicly available, so the discounts can be seen within the Alive App

  • for the discount, you need to allow promo codes (see the screens above)

  • when the promo codes are allowed, they must be set up (see the screens above)

  • when everything is set up correctly, then when a customer displays the discount within the Alive App, he will see the button for voucher code generation. After clicking the button, the code is generated and also emailed.

  • here, from the Alive Platform perspective, the process ends. The promo codes are not exported into Benefit Manager or anywhere else.

Alive App fully supports the use and online verification of voucher codes from the international discount database, known as BM2. This allows users to redeem discounts using voucher codes directly in the app.

Voucher codes for a given discount can be created and imported directly into BM2 according to their guidelines. Once set up, Alive App is compatible with the following formats for voucher codes:

  1. STRING: This is the basic format, which can be either alphanumeric (text or numbers). It's often used for simple promo codes or coupon codes.

  1. QR Code: A popular choice for ease of scanning, particularly in physical stores or at events. Users can easily scan the QR code within Alive App to validate their discount.

  1. Barcode (Code 39 and Code 128): These are two widely recognized formats for barcodes. Code 39 is a simpler format that supports both numbers and uppercase letters, while Code 128 allows for a more compact barcode and can represent a wider range of characters.

The voucher codes, once imported into BM2, will be seamlessly available in Alive App for use by end-users. For more detailed instructions on creating and importing voucher codes, please refer to the official BM2 documentation.
