The process described above seems maybe complicated, but it has its logic. The most important advantage is that schools have full control over card orders (because someone from the school has to confirm student statuses) and over card delivery to students (at the moment a student comes for his/her card, the order is manually marked as “picked up”).

OPTIONAL CONFIRMANTION OF CARD ENTITLEMENT

The requirement to manually confirm whether the student has or hasn’t the right to obtain the card (confirmation done via clicking the link in the email) will differ based on which documents are set up as mandatory in NCDB. In some cases, when the student/teacher must upload his confirmation of student/teacher status, there will be no email with confirmation link sent to school staff. For these cases, having uploaded valid confirmation of student/teacher status is enough to prove that the student/teacher is entitled for the card. In case the upload of confirmation of study/teaching is NOT required, the flow will remain the same as described above. (so the school staff needs to make manual confirmation).
