Discounts and competitions in the Alive app

COURSE DESCRIPTION

All information on setting up discounts and their branches in Discount Manager is mentioned in the course: https://gtsalive.atlassian.net/l/cp/u1BPbuLy

In this course we will show what is relevant for working with discounts within the Alive App application and how to set up competitions.

Introduction to Competitions in the Alive App

This documentation provides an overview of how competitions organized by discount providers are managed within the Alive App. These competitions are always tied to a specific discount provider and are available to users as part of promotional campaigns, typically connected to partner offers.

All contestants and their submitted answers are stored securely within the Discount Manager. To participate in a competition, each customer must tick the marketing consent, ensuring compliance with data protection and communication regulations.

All submitted answers can be exported to Excel, making it easy to review and evaluate the results. Additionally, within the Discount Manager, you can manually assign the winner of the competition, and the selected winner will then be displayed directly in the Alive App, allowing for simple and transparent prize management.

Setting Up the Provider

If you want your competition to be visible in the app, just make sure the following settings are in place:

Discount Provider:
Ensure the provider has both “Active” and “Show in Public Discount Database” checkboxes ticked.

  • In the competition settings, you can define whether the question will be open-ended or multiple choice, set the duration of the competition, specify the required participant details, and configure other key competition parameters to match your campaign goals.

  • Restrictions, Photo, and Localization Terms of the Competition are key details and settings you'll need to provide when creating a new competition. These ensure the competition is properly configured, displayed, and targeted to the right audience.

Limited offers

Limited offers are a special category of discounts that are displayed directly on the Dashboard and have their own category. These are mostly time-limited discounts. You can use the limited offers category for discount provider promotions.
